The Culture Authority of North and East Syria (Antiquities Protection Office) carried out a survey and assessment of the damages resulting from the earthquake that struck the region in the morning for archaeological sites located in north and east Syria. Its initial reports are as follows:

1- The collapse of parts of the wall of Najm Castle in the city of Manbij.

2- A crack in the façade of Al-Mansur Mosque in Raqqa.

3- Cracks in the walls of the rooms in Qasr al-Banat and the northern walls of the Ewan.

4- A crack in the western wall of Bab Baghdad.

5- Minor cracks in parts of the ancient wall of Raqqa.

The authority (Heritage Protection Office) is waiting for more accurate information during the coming hours about the status of the remaining sites in north and east Syria.
